PRODUCTION OF CERAMIC FOAM FILTERS
Ceramic foam filters are mainly used in metallurgical plants and in the foundry sector. They are more and more often applied also in air purification.

Sic foam filter (S), colour: grey, chemical composition: Sic, Al₂o₃, SiO₂, used in the filtration of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, up to a temperature of 1480° C.
Low density foam filter (LD), colour: black chemical composition: Al₂o₃, SiO₂, graphite. Used in the filtration of aluminium and its alloys in the foundry and metallurgical sector, up to a temperature of 850° C, also used in air purification.
Thanks to this ceramic’s low density, the metallic material returned with the filter can be easily recycled. In reflow process, this type of ceramic filter floats on the metal surface and can be easily removed, along with other impurities.
Aluminium foam filter (A), colour: white, chemical composition: Al₂o₃, SiO₂. Used in the filtration of aluminium alloys and non-ferrous metals in the foundry and metallurgy sector, up to a temperature of 1350° C, also used in air purification.
